The Romance Reviews Erotic Romance Madness Hop
Yippee!! Today’s the day for the beginning of the hop. It runs through May 14. So you have a few days to get your comments in.

And now for my blog – participants were asked to talk about one erotic romance book during the event and I’ve chosen one of the first I’ve read that got me interested in the genre – “The Top of Her Game” by Emma Holly!!
Surprisingly, it wasn’t the many erotic elements that made me such a fan of Emma’s writing. It was her style. Wow, this lady can write. Her turn of phrase, the pictures she paints in the reader’s mind are amazing.
And the love story between Julia and Zach is not to be missed. There were times it had me in tears. The insight into these characters is simply amazing. If you haven’t read The Top of Her Game, you should. Especially if you love erotic romance as I do.

Many of my favorite erotic romance authors have named Emma Holly as the person who got them hooked on erotic romance. I think I will have to start reading her backlist to see what about her writing inspires other authors.

I love reading an author who can paint a picture so realistically that you can imagine it even if you are unfamiliar with settings, objects described (I have found many BDSM authors who can do this, even when I had no idea of the things described.
