The Other Woman and Her Fifteen Minutes
It’s out – Rielle Hunter, John Edwards’ mistress, has done a photo spread with GQ. Our only surprise is that it took her so long to begin her media tour.

In this segment of it, she’s quoted as saying about Edwards: “I know he really loves me.”
Well, honey, if he does, then you don’t need any enemies.
Imagine, the father of your child knowing the little girl is his, yet publicly decrying parentage. And then, asking a friend to claim the baby belongs to him. One can only wonder what the poor little girl will think when she’s old enough to read and one of her classmates points her to the Internet and daddy’s fateful lies.
An abcnews.com article states Hunter told GQ that Edwards’ less-than-chivalrous behavior was caused by his fear of his wife, Elizabeth, and her rage.
Oh really. Running for the presidency had nothing to do with it? Wanting to remain in power had nothing to do with it? Being a pathological liar and narcissist had nothing to do with it?
This woman either has the proverbial heart of gold or she is seriously deluded.
And what about her playful pose in bed with a bunch of stuffed animals while wearing a man’s shirt? Are we supposed to believe it belongs to Edwards? Does she really believe he’ll marry her and they’ll live happily ever after? Does she even care? Or is the GQ spread and future media events what she’s really been after?
Poor baby Quinn. She deserves a better mother and father.
And I, for one, certainly respected Hunter far more when she kept her mouth shut and stayed away from the cameras.
