Have you even been so caught up in the hype of his “talented” reputation that you wanted to find out if he could undeniably be the man of your dreams by simply kissing him?
Well, in my new release, SILENT PARTNER, the heroine finds herself in that very situation. That moment when every thing around her ceases to exist, save for the notion of just taking the hero’s lips in a heated first kiss. Knowing she came to night club to forget her worries, she decides to bite the bullet and yield to her desires. She wants to experience the soft, sensual kiss that speeds up the heart and melts every tightened muscle to putty from the man who’s eager to give it to her.
As a woman, I love those kinds of kisses, and, of course, I love to write about them. So, before I share my next excerpt with you, I’ll set the scene:
Chloe LaRoche has just shared an erotic dance with the irresistible Grayson Anders at his night club and, as he makes a move to kiss her on the dance floor, she pulls away, not quite ready to allow that kind of affection in front of the whole club. But Grayson, being the bold, Alpha male that he is, inclines to agree and he temptingly claims he’d rather kiss her in the privacy of his apartment upstairs (*he owns the whole building.*) Unable to turn down his offer, despite the scruples of her moral conscience, Chloe has just snagged the keys from his tight leather pants (because his hands are holding two shot glasses) and proceeds to unlock the door to the private stairwell leading to paradise.

Her hand gave way and the key slid all the way in. Without waiting, she turned the handle and pushed the door open. She didn’t have to look behind her to see if he was following for she could already feel his looming presence, pushing her toward the stairs.
She stopped him.
This was her last chance to make sure she really wanted to do this. To indulge in this one-night stand without regret.
She turned and faced him, her eyes glancing toward his tempting lips. The look of them, soft and supple, was not enough. There was no way to know how wonderful his kiss would be without actually taking them. And there was nothing worse than being with a guy who kissed like an over-eager lapping dog.
She clasped his face in her hands and stood on her tip toes, leaning forward.
Surprisingly, he stood very still, letting her lips meet his. The rugged male scent of his skin, combined with the slight fragrance of his expensive cologne, clouded all rational thought, and the soft prickle of his goatee erased all prudence.
As she kissed him, his mouth opened slightly and his tongue brushed over her lower lip, patiently, as if he had no intention of rushing through her little experiment. Liking it so far, she touched the tip of her tongue with his, testing him, tasting him. The sheer delight of it all twisted every muscle in her body into knots.
She wanted more.
She wanted more than just the teasing tip of his tongue.
Angling her face, she opened up for him, giving him all the leeway he needed to kiss her in the way he wanted—the way she yearned for, since the moment he had sucked the Tequila from her finger.
She was not disappointed. He finally took the initiative to show her just how well his tongue could feel twisting with hers—and holy shit if it didn’t curl her toes! Like a man who knew his way around a sensual kiss, he leaned into her and ravished her mouth with so much passion her knees nearly buckled.
Feeling her falter, he pulled back, breathless. “Here,” he said, holding up the two glasses. “Take these. I need my hands.”
Though confused by his demand, she did as he asked.
“Don’t spill ‘em,” he quickly warned as he retrieved the keys from her and picked her up in his arms. With the correct key ready to insert in the next door, he swiftly carried her up the flight of stairs, his mouth seeking to reconvene their previous heated kiss.
He never missed a beat, from his able stair-stepping footwork to the skillful play of his tongue seeking hers. His mouth was both patient and passionate, explorative and precise. She could admit to never having been kissed quite this way. He held her as if she were a precious jewel, his arms solid and unyielding—unwilling to give her up for anyone—yet gentle, like she were fragile enough to break.
All the way up the stairs, his mouth consumed her. The heat of his body radiated through her silk blouse and every part of her wanted to strip down and feel that naturally hot masculine heat all over her, surrounding her.
Blanketing her.
Smothering her.
If not for the two drinks in her hand, she probably would have already removed her clothing, or at least her shirt and bra so she could enjoy the feel of his scorching skin on her chest while he made the ascent. It was painful to wait…utterly agonizing.
How many more steps, already!
She felt his momentum break and his right arm shift. He stopped kissing her, only long enough to insert the key in the door, and then his mouth was back on hers. Clumsily, he turned the handle and kicked the door open wide, sifting her through head first.
A few more long strides, and they were at his apartment door, kissing like there was no tomorrow, while he fumbled blindly for the next correct key. But having her still in his arms, his face buried in a kiss with the hallway completely unlit, made for an impossible task.
He growled an undeterminable slew of words, his patience gone.
Setting her on her feet, he sandwiched her between the cool face of the door and the sizzling heat of his body. He frantically flipped through the keys, and she noticed how exceptionally handsome he looked in the dark, even in his agitated state.
After one more curse, he found the right one and shoved it into the door, his smile returning. He didn’t wait for her to enter, nor did he give her an opportunity to think twice. His hands were already around her. His mouth stole another kiss, and his body ushered her in, dominantly, as if they were in another dance.
She liked that he had resumed his role as the lead partner and she allowed him to direct her past the threshold of his apartment door. Once inside, he dropped the keys, and there was no escaping him as he pinned her against the inside wall as if she were a flight risk.

Fiona, yeah when I wrote this whole intimate scene, morals kind of left me. They had to since it was a one-night-stand scene. I had to imagine myself not caring about morality for one moment and allow my heroine to feel the same as she jumped in bed with this smooth-talking, graceful, hunk of Alpha male.
